Gated Community in Mckinney Landscape Design by Absolutely Bushed
These photos are of recent landscape design projects located inside a gated community in McKinney, Texas.
The homeowners are new to Texas so they would only trust their luxury home with a top landscape design professional. They were interested in installing new flowerbeds, enhancing the privacy of their property, and adding curb appeal to their home.
This estate is a corner lot and as such, it was lacking privacy. Absolutely Bushed Landscaping made sure to address this in the design for the home. With our suggestions, the homeowners moved forward on the project: to install a mixture of formal Italian Cypress with natural ornamental anchors of Little Gem Magnolias; all evergreen. Also enhancing the design is spring through fall blooming magnolias which provide a pleasant fragrance for most of the year. The isolated driveway beds were missing an opposite anchor from the existing Live Oak. Absolutely Bushed Landscaping recommended an autumn blaze maple tree to enhance the fall colors in the landscape design.
Next, we moved on to the circular driveway.
The customer mentioned they loved drift roses so those were included in the driveway flower beds. Dwarf Abelias were also included as a flowering accent shrub. Dwarf Indian Hawthorn provides year-round blooming throughout the driveway beds. The large circular driveway is a high traffic area; hence the need for Arizona River Rock to keep guest vehicles from encroaching into the bed areas. River rock also provides a beautiful feature to enhance the new landscaping as well.
For the house planting beds, Absolutely Bushed Landscaping designed new landscaping to incorporate the existing landscaping into three distinct areas. The new homeowners had problems with the existing neglected landscaping. We salvaged what we were able to, removed neglected items, and elements that were not designed well for the home or conditions.
The new design was able to salvage some existing landscaping while including fragrant, well-planned four season blooming design. This McKinney landscape design included seasonal color splashed in focal areas. Our client was confident in maintaining their new landscape design through our education process; which will save them money down the road.
